Facebook launches a version of Messenger for child...
A child-friendly version of Messenger's ‘’Facebook Messenger’’ was launched on Monday, December 4th in the United States. Messenger Kids is a "video chat and messages" application designed for children to contact family and friends validated by their parents, who "fully control the contact list," the social network said in a statement.
"We want to be sure that the use of technology by our children is positive, safe and adapted to their age," said Facebook. This stresses compliance with the regulations on the protection of children on the internet.
Once the app is downloaded, parents create a Messenger Kids account for their child through their own Facebook account, and then allow or deny contacts to appear on their child's list.
